diy: ombre shorts

Hello lovely bees!!! As promised on my previous post here and here, 

here's my DIY Ombre shorts that I made last week!

1. Gather all the supplies.What you'll need for this project : 

shorts ( I used a white shorts, if you're using a colored / denim pair, bleached it first),

Dye, clip hanger, basin / bucket, salt / vinegar, disposable glass, 

pot ( I used an old pot from a rice cooker), 

Stove ( I used a butane gas stove but you can use the electric stove)

2. Fill up the pot with water and bring it to boil. While heating up, 

dampen your shorts with cold water and squeeze out excess water. 

This will help  the dye to spread evenly.

3. Dissolve the first pack of dye ( I used 3 packs)  in disposable glass with hot water.

4. Pour the dissolve dye in to the boiling water and add a tablespoon 

of salt / vinegar and stir it. The salt / vinegar will help to set the dye.

5. Turn off the heat. Pour the water with the dissolve dye and salt in to

 a basin / bucket and dip your shorts . Squeeze out  excess water and set aside.

6.  Heat up another water and repeat the step 3 and 4. 

Pour the water with the dissolve dye in to the basin and dip / soak 

your shorts halfway through and hang them to achieve the ombre effect. 

The dye tends to lighten a bit once it dries but you can dip / soak  again your shorts. 

If you're happy with the results then you can wash it with soap and fabric softener.

wednesday im in love: with ombre

If there's a DIY project that I'm very afraid to try, it will be Ombre / Dip dyeing. 

I really don't know why, maybe because I know that I'm no good at it. haha :)

reinvent : cp case

It was pretty hard to find a cp case for my Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus 

so I settled for a boring plain white cp case that I found last week until 

I decided to paint it yesterday!!!

and here's how it looks now!!!!

I used 3 paints ( blue, pink, yellow) for this project. 

First coat is blue and I just added the yellow and pink paint. :)

Hello!!!! I just want to apologize for the loooooooooooooooooong hiatus. 

I've been busy with my job and finding myself again after a heart break 

but don't worry I'm beyond perfectly fine now :))

that purple door

During our 2nd day in HKG, 

we went to Disneyland and that purple door below captured my heart. 

It's soooooooo cute. feeling ko bagay sya sa outfit ko kaya ito ang ganap... :D

This was my outfit last December 2 on my way back to MNL. :D

I cut my orange sweater and turned it into a cardigan. haha. tag tipid lang and finally I got the chance to wear this striped high waisted shorts that I got from a "mobile ukay-ukay".  I used my polka dot scarf as a belt which I got for only 20 pesos from a thrift store at Parañaque. oh di ba ang layo ng narating ko. haha :D

reinvent : plaid shirt

I was a bit bored this afternoon so I rummaged to my closet and I found this plaid shirt that was given to my as a gift from my aunt last Christmas. I haven't worn it yet  so I tried it on if it still fits on  me and sad to say...

NO.  Its TOO TIGHT on my arms because I gained weight. So instead of going on a diet I just decided to cut off the sleeves and use this as a cover up or vest.
