treasure hunting : november finds

While my 5 month old puppy is getting his first ever grooming yesterday,
my sister and I decided to go treasure hunting instead of waiting at the
pupp's salon for 3 hours. We headed to the nearest thrift shop and spent
2 hours and half digging for some treasures. I have a "treasure list"
for this month and it includes a velvet circle skirt but sad to say,
I didn't find one but I went home with these...

friday night remix : floral skirt

2 years ago, I started my blog in Chictopia, as much as I want to post
as many outfit as I can, my closet can't keep up so I mix and match most
of my clothes. Yesterday, after browsing my archives in Chictopia,
an idea for a new segment here on my blog was born..
     it's Friday Night Remix!!!

To start it off, here's my old outfit wearing  a floral skirt
that I found from a thrift shop in Taft Avenue.
I got it for 50 pesos! how cheap isn't it? :)

wore the first outfit during a friend's debut last 2009.
The second outfit was taken last December 2010.
(just click the links for more outfit deets!)

I can't wait to post my new outfit remix here!
Till next Friday lovely bees :)

there's nothing wrong with my boots

If I'm still a student, I would probably wear my military boots everyday
this season. What I love about this rainy season is that you can wear tights,
boots, or layer your clothes all the way you want without getting those
head-to-toe stare from the people who think that wearing a pair of boots here
in Manila is acriminal offense specially if you're a commuter like me.
Sometimes I often imagine that some people say
"Anong eksena nitong babaeng to? boots sa jeep / mrt? Seryoso ka teh?"
Well, I just want to take advantage of the weather. Commuters may laugh at my
boots or at me but I don't care. As long as I'm comfortable on what I wear.
Kanya kanyang ganap yan. haha :)

p.s I hate the harsh shadow on my photos, I really need a reflector
but for the meantime, I'm gonna use my full body mirror as a reflector
when taking outfit shots by myself. haha :)

right under my feet

I tried to squeeze some photos of what I wore on our visit to the Puerto Princesa
Underground River tour. It's more than an hour drive from our hotel and about 25 mins.
boat ride from the Sabang Pier so I opted for the most comfortable outfit that I can think
of and I found myself wearing this uber comfortable outfit. Pambahay lang ang peg. haha :)
I'm in love with this super yellow sling bag, it really uplifts my "pambahay" outfit. hehe :)

cropped top - diy
high waisted shorts - thrifted
flip flops - havaianas

We're planning to have a fun shoot wearing our "twin" top.

style sister : sunlight oh sunlight

On our 3rd day in HKG, we went to Macau.
Oh Macau, it's such a pretty place but you have to suffer for TWO HOURS for you to survive the LONG lines at the immigration of their ferry station. I'll show you a picture of it on my next post.

Anyway, here's what my sister and I wore during the Macau trip.

cat print dress from my favorite thrift shop
tights from SM Dept Store
Loafers from Chili Margarita
Satchel and Ring borrowed from my sister

thrifted top from my favorite thrift shop
palazzo pants from Gh
sandals from Rajo for Parisian
bag from hdy
ring from Forever21

I love how the sunlight gives a warm effect on the photos. Took these shots at
Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral in Macau.

treasure hunting : november thrift haul

Here are some of the treasures I found last week.

group picture. kaso absent yung  2 sheer button down. hehe

animal print dress. I have to sell this coz it doesn't fit  me. boo. haha

sheer button down that you can use as a cover up.  :D

mustard maxi skirt. I got this for 250 from one of my favorite ukay- ukay. A bit pricey for a normal dress from ukay-ukay.
ang mahal talaga sa favorite ukay ko. tsk.

pink shorts,  I didn't get the chance to try this before buying it kaya ayan...di kasya sa akin.
I'll sell this one too.

 a polka dot dress.
I bought this kasi peg ko yung damit ni Diane from Pure Love/ 49  days.
But its too short for me,kaya probably I'll sell this too.

white lace blazer. I dont know if I should sell this or not. haha.

I am planning to go treasure hunting today. :D
